blkXsgr photographer Matt Beard & was approached by the Dubai based production company Good Stills, and JWT (Wunderman Thompson Agency) to create some new still photos and short video clips of the Mayor of Flavortown himself, Guy Fieri for the Reel Cinemas brand that was due to open in the UAE.

Matt reached out to everyone’s favorite F-Stopper & Videographer Jaron Schneider (along with gaffer Karaminder Ghuman) to help capture the video portion of the shoot, while Matt focused on capturing the stills.

We set up shop in a wonderful hotel called the Fountain Gove Inn (which unfortunately was completely destroyed in the California wildfires a month later) near where Guy lives in Santa Rosa, to make it easier for us to accommodate his schedule,.

The shoot went smoothly, and Guy was…just…GUY. He’s a real one. Witty, fun and easy to work with.

The still photos were used in OOH ads in the UAE, as well as online. The video was playing on digital billboards in the UAE.
